Express Basketball Club is the place to go for young players in Sonoma County willing to work hard to learn the fundamentals and advanced skills required to play high school basketball and beyond.

We believe this is done primarily through PRACTICE. High school and college basketball coaches agree that players only use the skills they already possess during game play. Usually practices will be held weekday evenings and games will be played on weekends. Most games will be played in the Walnut Creek, Marin or San Francisco area. When Express Basketball Club teams do participate in games, we will focus on teaching players to utilize the skills they have learned in practice to improve as individual players and to win as a team.

Most high school, college, or professional basketball coaches will agree the majority of today's players lack the mastery of essential basketball skills that make them valuable to his or her team on the court on a consistent basis. This presents a great opportunity today for dedicated players to separate themselves from their peers by attaining these skills.

A typical Express Basketball practice is approximately two hours long. We are not affiliated with any high school program, so we do not spend time working on particular set offenses or defenses...

...Instead, we focus on our players becoming proficient at the following skills:

Our Mission. The club's purpose is to prepare players to compete at the high school level. Players will be instructed in the individual and team skills necessary to achieve success in high school, including aggressive man-to-man defending principles and how to successfully execute an offense. Special emphasis will be placed on the intensity, attitude and commitment necessary for success at the high school level. Express Basketball Club is not affiliated with a particular CYO or high school program, so we will not focus on learning particular strategies or set offenses or defenses. Instead, we will focus on teaching how to play the game correctly and becoming proficient in the following skills: dribbling, shooting, passing, setting & using screens, guard moves, post moves, transition offense/defense, rebounding, man-to-man defense, and playing hard!

The Program. Players will participate in two workouts each week. Workouts will typically last 75 to 90 minutes, and be held at gyms in Healdsburg, Windsor, or Santa Rosa. The activities will closely resemble a typical high school level practice session. Usually practices will be held weekday evenings and games will be played on the weekend. Most games will be played in the Walnut Creek, Marin or San Francisco area.

Costs.
The Spring session will run from mid-March through May. The cost will be $450 per player. The cost will cover gym time, tournament fees, uniforms, equipment, etc.
The Fall session will run from early September through October. The cost will be $400 per player. The cost will cover gym time, tournament fees, uniforms, equipment, etc.
